Chris Kattan FAQ's

Here are a list of questions that either people have asked me, I've seen people ask, or just general info. :-)

  • When and where was Chris born?

Chris was born on October 19th, 1970 in Southern California. He later moved to Seattle, WA.

What is his middle name?

Lee
  • Is he married? Does he have a girlfriend?

Nope, not married. Don't know if he has a girlfriend. If he does, be happy! Don't go psycho. Please. We don't need any more of those.

  • Where can I find that cool robe that Mango wears?

Uh.....I honestly don't know. That question scares me. Try uh.... a robe store.
  • Is there an address where I can write to Chris?

Yep! You can write to him here...

    ATTN: Chris Kattan
    NBC Studios
    30 Rockefeller Plaza
    New York, NY 10112

  • If I write to that address will I get anything back?
That depends on what you are talking about getting back. Letters are highly unlikely, but if you would like an autographed photo be sure to send an SASE with extra postage. I've talked to a few people who've been successful. Don't expect anything to come soon. Depending on how busy he is it may take a while, understandably.

  • What color are Chris's eyes?

It's amazing how many people I've seen ask this question! What is the big deal with eyes? Is it like some kind of a cultish thing? THE EYE CULT. Ok...sorry. This is the best answer I can give. To the best of my knowledge, they are blueish grey, but they have looked brown in some cases and green and deep blue in others. Either way, does it really matter? Are you writing a book on eyes? I tell ya, it's all lighting, folks. ;)
  • Does he have an official web site?

As of yet, no. I would love to run it (hint, hint) but an official site would probably have to be put out by NBC, SNL, etc. It's legal stuff. (Note the disclaimer at the bottom of the main page :)
  • How long has he been on SNL?

He joined SNL on March 16th, 1996 as a featured player. He became a regular cast member on Sept. 28th, 1996.
  • What characters on SNL has he played?

Characters include: Azrael Abyss from "Goth Talk", Doug Butabi (one of the Roxbury Guys) Suel Forrester (gibberish guy) Shop At Home Network co-host Eddie Lewis, Mr. Peepers, and Mango. He's also done impressions of Ben Affleck, Yasser Arafat, Antonio Banderas, Any Dick, Rudy Galindo, Bill Gates, Joel Grey, Anne Heche, John Huang, Michael Jeter, David Kendall, George Michael, Al Pacino, Geraldo Rivera, David Lee Roth, Brian Setzer, Paul Shaffer, David Spade, Scary Spice, Kerri Strug, and "Peter Pan."

(If I left any out, let me know. I did not think up this info. myself :-)
  • Did he go to college?

Yep. He attended the University of California at Northridge.
  • Was he in the Groundlings like a lot of people from SNL were?

He sure was. With fellow SNL castmember, Will Ferrell. Many talented actors have come out of the Groundlings, and are now successful in other realms of acting. (2 members of the current Goundlings cast on FX were in "A Night at the Roxbury")
  • Has he been on any other television shows?

He's made appearances on "The Big Show with Keith Olbermann," "Canned Ham," "Def Comedy Jam," "Entertainment Tonight," "Grace Under Fire," "Hollywood Buzz," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Late Show with David Letterman," "LIVE! with Regis and Kathie Lee," "NewsRadio," "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," "Showbiz Today," "Top Ten Countdown On VH1," "USA Direct," and "The View." He also showed up at the "1997 Emmy Awards," and presented an award, as Kerri Strug, at the 1998 ESPY Awards that Norm MacDonald hosted.
  • Where do you get all of this information from?

I have my sources (wink, wink). Seriously, most of this stuff I didn't even know until I went searching throughout the web and found it. :-) Some of this information is listed on other Chris Kattan pages, which you can find in my Links section.
